Struthioniformes have gone through gradualism over time as they evolve. They have changed at the pace of their environment, and as the environment and organisms around them change slightly, the ratites evolve with it. The fossil record is proof that they went through gradual changes rather than quick major changes because the fossils don't have any major differences with the present day skeleton.
