Struthioniformes can live in nearly any conditions. Some of them prefer dryer areas, while others prefer rainforests. The best biome for ratites are the dryer grasslands because that is where the majority of them prefer to nest. The picture above shows the geographic location of the different species of ratites. They are located mostly in Central and South America, all of Africa, Australia, Indonesia, and Southern Asia and parts of the Middle East. These locations suit them best because of the climate in these areas. They mostly live closer to the equator, but Struthioniformes are known to survive in either extreme of conditions.
